Welcome to the Olympia Area SQL Server User Group.  I’d like to thank you for your interest in our user group.  Our group is open to anyone who has an interest in learning and networking with other SQL Server users that work in and around the Olympia Area.   Most members are employed by the State of Washington, but you don’t have to be a state employee to be a member of our group. 

Because most members are State Employees this group allows users to network with other state employees.  Being a group of mainly state employees makes for some interesting discussions around common issues that are unique to managing SQL Server and applications with the state infrastructure.  But even so, our topics are not  focused specifically around the state technology environment.  Our meeting topics vary and would be of interest to any individual or organization that is working with SQL Server. 

It is my goal to provide topics that interest our group as a whole, and are focused in some way around SQL Server.   Please provide me feedback regarding subjects you would like to see covered in the future.  Only with your suggestions can I know I’m providing you with the kinds of discussions/topics that meets your needs.  

I am always on the lookout for speakers for upcoming meeting.  If you have a topic you would like to present please let me know.  I’m currently recruiting speakers for our August, September, October,  November and December meetings.  Help me out and volunteer to present something SQL Server related at one of these meetings.   Hopefully by allowing you 6 months to prepare for a presentation will encourage you to volunteer.   Shoot me an email regarding any presentation ideas you might have.  I am willing to provide any assistance I can to help you develop a presentation for our user group.

 Lastly I’d like thank you for your support and/or interest in our SQL Server user group.  I appreciate the past and/or future support you have shown for our user group meetings.  I’m, looking forward to your continued and future support of the Olympia Area SQL Server User Group.
